There is someone here on this board that has a great one liner in the signature - every time I see it it makes me smile. But my brain isn't working and I can't remember who or what it says exactly.
I shouldn't have clicked on this thread. I now have a lump in my throat and trying not to cry. I love those quotes, especially the last one.
I hope you girls don't mind me coming over. I'm normally on the TTTC board but I lurk over here some, I really want to foster/adopt one day regardless of if we get our own LO.
I am not spiritual or religious in any way, nor do I believe that "everything happens for a reason." However...I really love this quote and I imagine that when I adopt, I will feel that it was meant to be in some way.
"An
invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless
of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle
but it will never break."

Our children are not ours because they share our genes?
