9 day luteal phase - too short?

I started charting 3 months ago and all three cycles have had a 9 day luteal phase. I know this is short but is it too short to conceive? I just had blood work done so I guess I'll learn more once the results come in, but I'm curious and would love to know from others with the same issue what their experience has been. What kind of treatment do they offer for this issue? Is it possible I can conceive without treatment? TIA

Re: 9 day luteal phase - too short?

  • yes, 9 is generally considered on the short side.   But I have seen girls on other baby boards who said they had a 9day LP and conceived.     See what your doc has to say.

  • 9 is on the short side, but Clomid and/or progesterone supplementation usually helps.
  • There are some non-medical/herbal/natural treatments out there that may help as well - ask your doc about them when you get the results of your b/w back.
