Progesterone question?

I have been ttc since April.  We had a m/c in September at 5 weeks.  Since then we have had no luck.  I was not ovulating after the m/c.  DR. started me on Clomid 50mg.  I went in for my level check on day 20 and it was 12.6 I have read that on medicated cycles they want it above 15, is this true?  Do you think this means that I have no chance this month?  Is 12.6 even high enough?  I talked to the nurse when she called and she said the level indicated I did ovulate.  That's all she said.  I'm just confused.  There are so many different articles out there about this subject.  What has been your experience?

    Was CD20 7dpo? Because that can influence what the # really means.

    On medicated cycles, they like to see at least 10, preferably above 15. But a 10 indicates you ovulated.

    I think you're confusing things here. The # from the progesterone test only tells you if you ovulated, and maybe how well you ovulated. From your numbers, you ovulated, and it sounds like that's all they're looking for. They may consider putting you on progesteron supps, so that's something you can ask for. But it certainly doesn't mean all is lost.

    I'll hazard a guess -- but always keep in mind a good dose of :::everyoneisdifferentdust:::.

    You may have O'd later than day 13, so the day 20 test was a bit low b/c of that.  Why do they think you O'd so early?  I took Clomid 50mg CD5-9 and didn't O til day 16 or 17.  And, oh yeah, everyoneisdifferent.

    Also, it sounds like you're not being monitored for follies & lining thickness while taking Clomid, which you should be.  Ask your doctor about this if you're not.  Demand it if necessary.  Even if he rolls his eyes at you.  It's worth it.

    Thank you.  If I do not get a positive test this month I will ask about additional testing.  Do they do so by ultrasound?  I took the Clomis CD 3-7.  I got a positive opk on CD 13.  So I guess I O'd 24-48 hours later.  Could they have done the progesterone test a few days too early?  Would it make that much of a difference in terms of numbers? I just thought my levels would be higher then 12.6.

    Sounds like you probably didn't o until CD14 or 15 and the progesterone test was done 5-6 DPO which can make a difference in the numbers.
