Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!     I have been soooooo lazy about even logging into my email.

But the really ironic thing:  I was just thinking this weekend "I need to email Janelle soon, it's been way too long!"

HAHA you're too funny. Well I just wanted to see how your feeling these days and how the baby is doing? Have you had any testing done? u/s?

Oh my goodness.  Testing?  well, I didn't do the NT scan because I had a 5 day window to get it done.  The doc asked if I would move on to amnio if the test showed anything and I said no - so they said I really didn't need it, and we would just do quad screen between 16 and 18. 

but man, my care was jacked up at first.   After my 5w5d appt with RE - and the u/s showed h/b, RE "released" us.   She told the nurse to book me at 8 weeks with the OB (same GG office).   However first OB appts were booked way up, so they got me in with the actual doc at 10w.   Doc couldn't do much since I wasn't really in the system, since I hadn't had the initial  history/bloodwork etc appt with a midwife.  So at that 10w appt, the doc just did u/s #2 to make sure it was still there and growing.   She referred me to a high-risk OB at Lakeview in Anaheim Hills.

1st appt there was at 12w.  (u/s #3)  But they had to do all the initial "first appt" crap that should have been done at 8 weeks.  I was really behind.   8 vials of blood, one 24 hour urine collection (that was interesting), a one hour glucose screening which I failed, and then the 3 hour which I barely based.   So, I don't have GD - but I am "glucose intolerant", got my flu shot finally, treated a yeast infection, and now have to take my blood pressure 3 x's a day.

Other than that - I feel pretty great.  I just get out of breath really easy.  Like just walking up our stairs.

I go again next week for a 16w appt, then again mid-Feb for 18w,  and at that point I will be going every 2 weeks until the end.   Oh, the joys of the perinatologist - but I am thankful for being so closely watched.

Oh, and they only want me to gain 10 lbs total!   I'm up 1.5
