Newborn with belly problems?

We have a 9 day old LO at home and over the past couple of days we've been having trouble with what I think is gas/upset stomach.

We are feeding her Similac with iron (about 3 oz every 3-4 hours) and generally get at least a couple of burps during/after each feeding.  We lay her down after about 10-15 minutes and she wakes up mad or does not go to sleep at all.  She seems to have air in her belly.  We've tried the gas drops with some success but it feels more reactive than proactive. 

Do you have any suggestions?  I'm wondering if this is a sign we need to try another brand of formula?  Perhaps she's not burping enough?

We too had this with our BF baby. We laid her on her back and bicycled her legs and also tried rubbing her stomach BEFORE putting her back to sleep or swaddling.  We've found it to get better after a couple weeks (ours is 4wk now) that her digestive system has had to get used to the milk. Gas drops or other OTC items didn't seem to work for us.
