I'm hosting a bridal shower for my sister this spring. I want it to be really nice, but I also don't have tons of money. It will be at my house around lunchtime. I'd love any suggestions (decor, food, games, etc) for making it a beautiful day without breaking the bank.
Re: I need ideas for hosting a bridal shower
Maybe a brunch? ?Quiches and salads (fruit and green) are easy to make ahead of time and don't cost that much. ?
Flowering plants are pretty affordable in the spring and they can double as centerpieces and prizes/favors. ?

There are one million spring/color/floral/bridal themes you could do or center your ideas around the shape of her diamond, her favorite color/flower, hobbies of the bride, etc.
Once you've decided some of these things, check out etsy for paper, invite, stickers, banners, supplies, favors, decorations, and more. Or you can check out stores around you and DIY a ton of that stuff. Once you pick a central theme and know how many people to expect, start brainstorming like crazy. Food/beverages will probably take most of your budget but you can personalize for your sister once you figure out how much $$ you have left over. Maybe she LOVES flowers so you have to do that. Or she LOVES desserts so you want to make those the centerpieces and accent with treats. Or they are going on some fabulous honeymoon so you are going to do a destination theme.
Good luck, post again for ideas once you've narrowed down theme, # of guests, and some menu ideas.
