Do you still wear thongs?

I realized today that I don't wear them anymore. I used to wear them frequently before I had children. There was a time when over half of my underwear collection consisted of thongs. I even managed to wear them after I had DD #1 on occasion. Now I have no desire to wear them. Maybe it was the 9 weeks of PP bleeding after #2 that drained my desire. Maybe I'm just getting old. Anyone else?

Re: Do you still wear thongs?

  • That is all I wear. Panty lines and me don't really go well together.
  • Yes - unless I am wearing jeans

  • I don't. I still have quite a few, but I find them really uncomfortable now. Plus I wear jeans 99% of the time, so panty lines are not really a worry for me.

  • Nope.  I'm too fat for them now.  I'm all about cotton briefs.
  • 6 out of 7 days are thongs.

  • I love thongs in the summer...I hate shoes.

Ohhhh, you meant the under-garment (funny word).

NOOOOOOoooooooo.  I'm all about comfort and my cotton bikini briefs are just fine.

  • Never been a fan of thongs however every now and then I will wear them

  • I'm just going back to them now. ?I have been wearing granny-panties for WAY too long. ?
  • Once upon a time, in my younger, hipper, skinnier days.  Once I hit 30, I couldn't bear the thought of wearing the same kind of undies as my teenage sister.  But, I am a stickler for no VPL.
  • yep. it is usually all I wear...but not nowadays.  PP bleeding = granny panties.  I am huge on no panty lines also...canNOT stand them.

  • No, but I never did.  I'm all about the boyshorts, which also fix the vpl issue most of the time.
  • I always wear thongs, I cannot stand the feel of granny panties anymore.... just to uncomfortable.

  • Great post!  I thought abotu this the other day as I was digging through my undies drawer (laundry day!).  I used to wear them often, but now that I'm a WAHM, I don't have the need to dress up often and jeans and thongs = bad news.

If I am going out or to a meeting, I'll wear them (hate vpl's as well!), but other than that, not so much.  Then again, I'm way fatter now than I was pre-preg so that doesn't help much either!!

that is how i feel.... plus i am 39, thongs are not meant for people that old.

  • Yes, 100% of the time.  I even wore them when pregnant.  I can't stand anything else.
  • It used to be all I would wear, now - only with dress pants. I think that my now fatter and flatter ass makes them uncomfortable! I am an old lady, I wear bikini briefs regularly and drive a minivan- 2 things a younger cooler me never thought I would do! LOL
  • I never did, never will.  If I'm really worried about VPL, I'll wear panty hose with no underwear.  I can't stand the feel of thongs.
  • Thats all I use to wear. Now not so much now. I had a c-section & it seems they all fall right where my incision is at & I have a little flab hanging over. It's not pretty. I even weigh less now then before I got pregnant, but I think the c-section doesn't help.

?I do wear seamless boyshorts or nothing at all now.

  • No.  I never wear them.  I never was a fan of them before I had kids either.
  • I never started wearing thongs so I guess my answer is no.

Not intentionally, but my butt has grown so much this pregnancy that it is usually eating my underwear.  Does that count?

My sentiments exactly -- well, except eliminate the pregnant part!  :)

If I'm wearing a thong, it's b/c Joe is going to get laid!  hee,hee

  • Even before I had kids I wore them with dressy pants or anything that had the potential for VPL, but not at other times. I dont' wear them at all while pg - too much need for panty liners and I don't even want to think about what would be all over my pants if I only had a thong on!!! After I had DD I went back to my old ways - thongs when necessary, but not at other times. Of course, I work p/t now, not f/t so as a result I wear pants that require thongs much less. I imagine it will be the same after this pg too.

  • this is a loaded question - sort of like: Are you still beating your wife?

I am not still wearing thongs b/c I have never worn them. I am all about ass fabric.

I'm very similar.  I will wear one if it's really, really necessary but I HATE them!
  • Yes I do.  I think I even had maternity thongs when I was pg with Lucas.
  • I do now, but it took me awhile to start wearing them again after I had DS.

  • I've never put a single one on. I like boyshorts.
  • I only wear thongs. I'm picky about cut/style, though. I've found two fabulous ones: Hanky Panky & Cosabella soire. I've had most of my Cosabella since my pre-PG days, & I stretched them out during my pregnancies! It's time to upgrade. Smile
  • I've never been a fan of butt floss. I prefer bikini cut or boy shorts. I just have way too much bootey.

  • That's all I wear except for when I run.
  • I still wear my regular hanky panky thongs and I'm 35w!

I wear cotton undies when I exercise, much more comfortable.

I wear hanky panky's.  The low rise ones weren't good with my post c-section bod, but the higher rise ones are so comfy.  They are the most comfortable undies I have ever worn.  They are a bit pricey, but well worth it vs. buying a pair at VS and having them ride up my tush.
