vent- my house always dirty

I feel aI can't keep up with the chores. I teach full time and by the end of the week the house is a mess. I love my odg but he sheds everywhere and it is a constant battle to keep it up. I have tons of grading to do this weekend and am tonr between spending time on housework or doing school bith which need to get done.

I know I should try to do a little each night but my the time ds goes to sleep I'm beat!

enough venting I'm off to go motivate myself!

I feel the same way too and my DH is always reminding me.  I teach too and it seems like no matter how much I can get done during my prep times there is always a full pile of stuff waiting to get done still.  And, some nights I fall asleep before DS when we lay in my bed watching Tv for a few minutes before he goes in his room. UGH!  I wish there was some type of better balance.

I SAH and baby-sit a third toddler full-time during the week. My home is ALWAYS wrecked. They don't nap at the same time and the only time I have to clean is after they go to bed. By then, the last thing I feel like doing is cleaning! They have me beat, big time(physically and home-wise). I have to sacrifice one room just to clean another. My husband and I take turns--he has kitchen duty and I have front-room and bathroom duty. Then we switch. It not only makes less work for everyone, but it also aliviates some of the guilt. I can just say "the kitchen is a mess, but that's Dan's job) My point is, don't beat yourself up over it. Even people who are at home all the time have their reasons for having a messy home.

I am so glad to hear another teacher say this. I teach and have 4 kids at home and it seems like all I get done each night is the necessities.
