Hi, I was directed here by the 6-12 mth board b/c I am interested in switching to CD, but I'm really clueless about them. I tried looking at some sites mentioned below, but I don't know what the lingo means... All In Ones, Pocket Diapers, Inserts... is there a site that explains this? And which ones would be a good transition for us (and affordable) since DH does not want CDs... I know there are ones that are super easy, and I think if I can show him how it can be easy, cheaper and better for our daughter (plus the environment, altho he knows that) I think I can convert him. So, any help is greatly appreciated!!! TIA!
Re: New to board
To help convince your husband I think you'd want to go with something that would be used just like a disposable and that would be an All-in-one which means all the pieces you need (leakproof liner, insert & liner) are all sewn into one. That's the most like a disposable in it's use.
Best bet is probably to use it during the day and get used to that and then tackle the night time diapering which is what turns most people off since the baby will go longer in the diaper and until you get down something that works for your child it can be frustrating.
Or do what I did and not give your hubby a choice

24 is a nice number to have. It's possible to make do with less and lots of us have more than that
We have about 30ish and do laundry every 3rd day.
