so much for a refund..

..I just did our taxes and we owe just over $1000.. am I allowed to cry now?

    At least i'm not alone.. lol.  I thought I was doing so good with my savings account.  It is now empty again.. :::sigh::::

    ***************************** Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.

    Is there nothing you can claim?

    I always ask my employer to take a little more taxes than normal, and that way I always get money back. So far, anyway.

    E.. I think I am stuck.  I am going to have my moms accountant review it just in case.  He was able to fix it last year but I already used all the tricks he did last year.  I may be sh!t out of luck.  Blech!

    Ugh, that sucks, I'm so sorry.  And I feel your pain.  It took DH forever to finally switch his W4 elections to something more conservative so I have a feeling we'll have to owe again this year.  Yuck.

     I just heard that the Governator here wants to give us an IOU instead of any tax refund we may be owed.

    Do you think I can send the state a IOU if we owe them?

    What about investing in an IRA?  I know that saved some friends before and you can still do it after January 1st and it still counts.
