ok has anyone put cereal in your babies bottle yet.....my dd is a month old and someone was telling me to try putting cereal in her bottle at night to see if she would sleep longer....what do yall think...
We do. I think we started around two months, but I can't remember. Our baby girl has just recently started sleeping through the night consistently. I think it helped her to sleep longer periods at night though.
What does your pedi sugguest? Our told us to start at 3 or 4 months (earlier for us due to Reflux but we haven't done so yet, but she also STTN) I would think that a month is really early.
Solids are not supposed to be started until 4 months.
My grandmother was after me constantly, telling me that my Aunt put cereal in her sons' bottles starting at 6 weeks and they both STTN from that point on.
I will admit that we started a little earlier than 4 months. However, it did not help DS STTN. He wakes up more often now than when he was eating every 3 hours! Somtimes I am up every hour, or for an hour straight before he goes back to sleep.
At your DD's age, I wouldn't give her cereal unless the Dr. tells you to for a medical reason, like reflux.
