What do you use? Where do you get them? (websites are appreciated) How many do you have? How much do/did they cost? (if you are willing to share) How often do you clean them/how do you clean them?

I really want to make the switch, but DH is not on board. If I can find the easiest way to do this, I may talk him into it... TIA!

whoa, lots of questions we just started recently and got a cd trial from jilliansdrawers.com

also, check out the EFF board - lots of mama's there cd and have been a great resource for me. We will break even in a few months, and we're buying mainly all-in-ones (aio) and pockets because they are easiest for dh who is sahd. we do have a dozen pf's (prefolds) with covers as well. but, we're buying many of our used or seconds which helps keep the cost down, and I'm trying to go the "one size" route whenever possible so we can use them for a longer time.

they go in the wash - cold rinse first, the hot wash/cold rinse again. they are very simple to care for. I do laundry every 1.5 days right now but only because we don't have a large enough stash built up yet.

LOL sorry, you are right- lots of questions... I'm clueless, but we're trying to do as many "green" things as we can... this seems like a perfect thing for us to do- I hate all the disposable diapers we are going through... I need all the help I can get! And thank you for your responses!!

We're just making the switch- I start a trial through Tidy Tushees (local company) as soon as they get here

I'm probably going to buy some prefolds and covers anyhow, because I can't afford to go with all pockets/AIOs right away and they're the most cost effective.

My DH also was not on board and he is now TOTALLY on board. ?We started at her birth but beforehand, he thought I was nuts and was only trying them to shut me up. ?We started doing it to be ecologically friendly but now use them because they just work better (this is how my DH got on board - we had so many blowouts with disposables and NONE with cloth). ?We now make sure there is a washer/dryer where ever we go on vacation so we can use cloth. ?

Anyway, we use primarily BumGenius 3.0 one size diapers. ?We have 18 of these. ?We also have 4 BumGenius 3.0 AIO, size medium, 2 Goodmama fitteds, 1 pocket Swaddlebee, and 3 Minky Blueberries. ?

The Bumgenius work great and are pretty nice to the pocket. ?I will get another 4 BG AIOs once she moves into the large size. ?They are nice to take out in a tiny diaper bag for a quick trip. ?I like all the others but they cost more and just don't work as well as the BumGenius. ?The Swaddlebee leaked for awhile with my daughter (it now fits fine as she has grown into it), the Blueberries and Goodmamas work great during the day with no leaks but I wouldn't suggest them for night if you have a long sleeper (my DD sleeps up to 11 hours with no leaks in her BG 3.0 onesize).

As already mentioned, the eco-friendly board is a great resource and that's where I learned the most.

I bought most of my diapers from cottonbabies and was very happy with it. ?There are a bunch of sites out there with a multitude of diapers to choose from. ?Good luck getting DH on board and have fun. ?They really are so much better than disposables. ?My DH could give a crap less about the environment or economics and he still prefers the cloth by far. ??
