growth spurt?

DS has been very fussy the past couple days....acts very hungry and will sleep while holding him but seems to wake up as soon as you lay him down...he also seems kinda gassy and seems to be straining to poop...is this a growth spurt??

 

I thought it was constipation at first but now I don't know...

It doesn't sound like a growth spurt to me...sounds like an irritated belly to me.
