Hooters anyone?

Ok so my a hole husband calls from work last night to ask if he can go have a couple of drinks.  I was like ok, why not he deserves a break. Well, he did not get home untill about 1:30 am and was so drunk he does not remember what he ate for dinner when he came home. So in the morning I ask so were the hell did you guys go? HOOTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF? I said what the hell is wrong with you? I mean is it just me? I feel fat and gross and he is out looking at fresh, skinny meat........ Please tell me you would be raging mad too.....

Re: Hooters anyone?

  • LOL...I'd be a little peeved he wasn't home until 1:30! LOL.

But then again, our Hooter's girls are pretty ugly around here..

  • Loading the player...
  • Where the hell was he between the time Hooters closes and when he got home? THAT'S the question I would be asking.
  • I would be sooooo pisssed off. DH would never do that to me though - he doesnt drink and is against all these hooter clubs
  • I would be raging mad at the fact that he drove.  That is completely unacceptable to me... no if, an's, or but's.... and he saw lots of nice butts!  I don't think I would be too mad about Hooters.  BUT, if that became his weekly hangout, yes... I would be mad!

  • I'd be more mad that he was out boozing till 1:30. Hooter's really isn't that bad. The chicks usually aren't that great. And they do have REALLY good food there.

Ditto this. I'm not sure if you've been to Hooters lately, but they aren't exactly discriminating against ugly girls anymore...

  • Hooter's probably wouldn't bother me, but getting home wasted at 130a w/o calling would make me mad.

  • LOL. I do not think hooter girls are the least bit attractive. They remind me of Oompa loompas. The color of their shorts are hideous, and the FAKE tan tights they wear are rediculous lol. I would rather h look, then be at the strip club with girls dancing on him and the possability of feeling and such. I personally would be more pissed that he was drunk to the point of not remembering. However, irresponsible drinking has always been a problem for me.
  • I'd be pissed that he came home at 1:30 am drunk

And I'd be pissed that he didn't bring me any hot wings.

As for him going to Hooters, I don't prefer it, but I wouldn't be raving mad. But that's just me. I used to feel very different but, eh. They're tight shirts and shorts, not nudie bars (which I do NOT like him going to- and he doesn't)

EXACTLY! Wow, after this & the strip club post, I am glad I live in a podunk town and our 1 (and only) stripclub is way overpriced and wayy nastay!

  • oh yeah his a$$ would be mine!  i'm all for giving DH a break, but 1:30 in the morning seems pretty late.
  • I would be more pissed that he went out and got drunk and then didn't call me to come get him. DH made that mistake ONCE and, believe me, he never made it again.

Besides... the way I see it... my boobs are bigger than half those girls there and now they're even bigger. I just shake my head and laugh at him, telling him that if he would rather be there then he doesn't realize what he's missing. Wink

  • My roommate my freshman year in college worked at Hooters. That's as close as I've ever been to that restaurant.

But hold on a second, why does Hooters matter so much to pregnant women? We all have bigger boobs now than when we married our husbands, and they are actually REAL...so what could our husbands possibly see in silicone valley anyway? Right?!

hooters?? that doesn't make me mad at all - just  jealous. I love hooters wings.  DH and I go together now and then... the girls do not bother me one bit.

  • ummm yes, I would be furious!Angry
  • Lol.  I'd be annoyed at the Hooters, definitely, but I'd be more about the way he stayed out till 1:30 with a prego wife at home -- this isn't college anymore, with no responsibilites!
  • oK  hooters may not be that bad. Although, my husband is a huge flirt, I hate that!!!! I also started crying at the table in the moring b/c he could have crashed the car and killed himself or someone else. I mean we have 2 boys and now little Gia on the way, what is thinking? At what point do men grow up? Also, any tips on being more scary so he won't pull that *** again? Thanks

Again..... he needs to explain to you where he was between the time Hooters closed, and when he got home. And from the whole flirt thing.... I would def be suspicious.

  • He says he was at Hooters from about 6pm untill 9:30 pm. Then he went to another bar closer to home from 10pm untill around 1:15am..... He would be so mad if I did this to him!!
  • If you want to scare his @ss pack up your bags and be gone next time when he gets back. Either that or if he gets arrested for a DUI, let him stay his @ss in jail fora night or two. I know it sounds bad, but I bet he'll think twice about being so stupid.

Either that, or he'll just leave her.

  • LOL! I know that I sound like a raging b!tch, but I really have zero tolerance for crap like that. I would NEVER do that to him, and would understand if he got mad at me for it, so I expect the same respect from him.

If he leaves her over that, especially for letting him sit in jail for a night, then there are bigger problems.

You hit the nail on the head... (that's what I was getting at). Sometimes men are just looking for an excuse.

  • hooters?

    really?

sooooooo insulting to us 'have to be chubby' woman,

but to make you feel better-my DH will go out with his guys and not come home until like 10am the next morning.

    so yeah.

we should just put them all underground and use for breeding.

    thats it

The drunk driving is the worst issue here and should not be passed over lightly by you.

My DH got a DUI right before we met - that was the last day he had a drop of alcohol (over 6yrs ago).  He was very lucky he did not kill anyone (or himself, though killing someone else would have been worse for him).

He did suffer HORRIBLY for the next few years... tons of fines, a suspended license, lost job opportunities (he's an attorney and some companies will not hire if you have a record of dui).... huge stress about getting to/from work, embarrassment - you name it.

it is still haunting him 6 years later -  his life insurance premium is SUPER high b/c of this being on his record.... every time he applies for a job he has to disclose it.... etc etc.

If my DH was being this irresponsible AND he was already a father... well, lets just say his drinking days would be over - or our marriage would be in question.  Thankfully my DH quit drinking the day of his accident- got help, and has not had a drop since.

your DH is putting all of you at risk when he gets behind the wheel drunk. If he kills/injures someone- say goodbye to your house.... say goodbye to his income... If he just gets a DUI- say goodbye to a loss of his job possibly, loss of his license, loss of tons of $$ in fines - the list goes on and on.

I don't even need to mention him killing himself- b/c quite honestly- that is not something that would resonate with him i'm sure -he thinks he's invincible it seems.... it's doing damage to others that may actually mean something to him.

He's needs to man up and BE a man. A man does not put his family, wife, children at risk b/c he wants to get drunk.  The LEAST he could have done was call you for a ride - or a cab.

  • I don't think he would leave me. I def do not have it in me to pack up and leave, just to scare him. Although, I wish I did. I just need to get my point across to him if he wouldn't like it done to him then why do it to me?
  • Ahhh I see. I haz reading comprehenshun. :P

Then sit him down and explain that too him rationally. If you go nuts and crazy about it, he's just going to chalk it up to pg hormones, and do it again. Sit down with him and talk to him, and tell him why you weren't ok with him doing it. If this is a deal breaker for you, express that word for word. And if it is, tell him that next time there won't be a conversation about it, but that instead he will come home to an empty house. You deserve respect and are not to be tempted.

If he throws a fit about it, you have your answer on the respect aspect.

  • I'd be pissed he was out so late, and even more pissed if he was drunk enough to forget what he'd eaten and had driven himself home. But Hooters? Nah, I've eaten there plenty and those girls are nothing to be jealous of- and I don't think they hit on patrons for anything except tips.

I can't get past this part of your post.

He asks for permission to go out? Are you his wife or his mother?

As for going to Hooters, I wouldn't give ashit.

    Drunk driving, however, disgusts me.

  • All I gotta say is he better be GLAD i'm not you lol

in general i would agree with this- but however when you have kids at home I think it is nice for a DH to ask if it's OK... if I'd mind, etc.... not for "permission" just if it would bother me or not b/c I might be having a bad day, feel like crap, etc.

but it seems he does need a mommy anyway - since he drove home drunk.  And yes, it disgusts me as well.  Men like this (women, too) put my life and my family's life at risk - for that- i have no tolerance.  Even my DH who got a DUI is disgusted by it and himself for that - and anyone else who does it.

  • I'd be really upset at the 1:30am business, however, if he brought me an order of buffalo shrimp and curly fries....all would be forgiven. YUM!

  • I beg my DH to go to Hooters (to get me take out) and he hates it.  I wouldn't care one bit if he wanted to go.  Have you ever been?  It's really not that scandalous.
