A cancellation!!!

yes, I'm abusing puncuation but the RE's office called and they must have felt bad about having lost my file and me still being in pain, so they are getting me in with a cancellation next Thursday! I'm so excited to be finally moving forward. And, I thought this was going to just be about me and my pain, but they also want my H there and to make sure he has his SA done before then (but he finally went for his 2nd earlier this week). Hmm, since it's going to be right around O time for me (I'm so regular you could set all your clocks to me), do you think I have to abstain before visiting?

and I have no clue about abstention, but why would you need to abstain if he's already had the SA done?

WooHoo! for a cancellation opening up a spot for you!   RE-type cancellation are pretty rare I think - since it's usually a visit people don't want to delay.

I would ask about abstaining. We had to but he had his SA done on the day of our appt. If they are doing an exam they may want you to.

Glad you got in!  I wouldn't think you would have to abstain just because you have an RE appt., as long as he already had his SA done.  But, you should probably ask them to make sure.

my only thinking about the abstinence is that they are doing an internal exam. I have to call back with our hospital card #s so I'll ask.

I'm so happy about the cancellation. when they told me in Nov that it would be 4-6 mo to see this dr, I was not looking forward to waiting. Then when they told me yesterday that they had lost my file, I was thinking it was going to add more time, and more time with some pretty bad pain is no fun
