Did you start using the pail right when baby came home? If not, when?

How often do you empty the pail?

How long does one refill bag last for the Plus size pail?

We used it from day 1 and empty it about every other week. My baby is 4 months and we've only put a refill bag in once.  They last a long time!

We've used it from day 1 and empty the pail about every other week or so.  We're nearing 2 months now and haven't replaced the cartridge yet.  I have to admit that I thought it was a complete waste but have ended up loving it.  It's really easy to use.

Wow, I totally thought it would have to be emptied like every other day! 

Does it smell terrible when emptying it out every 2 wks?!

I have used nearly all of the diaper pails (genie, champ, dekor) and like the dekor best. We have 2 - one for my 2.5 yr old and one for 5mo DD. I empty it each week the night before the trash goes out. I haven't had any smell issues. One hint - once you baby gets older and the poop becomes more "solid", dump it in the toilet first and then put the diaper in the container. this helps tremendously with the stink issues!
