Anyone here on bc and also take alprazolam?

or any other anxiety meds? ?I just learned now that anti anxiety meds can decrease the effectiveness of bc. ?I take them mostly when I fly but also on other occasions. ?I did a lot of flying around the time I got pregnant and took quite a bit of alprazolam. ?Did any of your doctors mention the decreased effectiveness? ?MIne just did now and while I LOVE being a mommy I think this information would have been useful a year ago being that he is the one that prescribed both meds and for the last month I have taken both.

    I have not heard about this. There are a few websites you can look meds up to see what their interactions are. I take something similar on occasion but I do not take bc (it makes me CRAZY).

    One I know of off the top of my head is rxlist.com?

    No, I've never heard this.  I've even taken the Drug Interaction class through the UW school of pharmacy and this wasn't mentioned.

    Can you point me towards some more information?
