J has been sick w/the stomach flu since Fri. He's not vomiting anymore but he still has the diarrhea. Any ideas on what I can feed him that won't be too rough on his stomach and that he'll actually eat? He doesn't seem to have much of an appetite and then will ask to eat something but then immediately say no. I'll offer him applesauce and he'll indicate that he wants to eat it but when I serve it up and try to feed it to him he refuses.

He obviously doesn't have much energy and I just want to make sure he has the strength to fight this off.
Re: What to feed sick toddler?
Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast, pasta, crackers - basically anything starchy. Avoid dairy until he has been in the clear for a bit, that generally brings it back if it's not gone yet. Pedialyte and/or Gatorade helps, too.
Hope he feels better soon!
I was just going to suggest the applesauce..that's the only thing Aiden will eat tons of when he's sick. And, for some reason he likes it cold. Other foods: bananas, maybe some steamed rice, or crackers.
I hope he feels better soon!
Poor munchkin
Definitely applesauce....also, when Isaac was sick the only thing he wanted to eat was chicken noodle soup....I used chicken breasts to make it and just gave him the broth and noodles (not sure if you're supposed to do this after tummy aches..but it made my guy feel better)
