paper ceiling fixture cover

Help!

I'm searching for a paper lantern that will fit over our existing ceiling fixture (which has two exposed bulb attached side-by-side directly to the ceiling). I'm looking for a bowl-shaped cover that is lightweight, such as ones made from rice paper. Does anyone know where I can find one? All I can find are the hanging globes.

So, visually, I want something with this material:

Anyone know where I can find something like this?

Or - do you know a resource explaining how to make a paper lantern? Do you think I could just cut it in half?

you can try Ikea... i haven't seen one quite like that though. I used to want the same thing in my old apt. and I ended up with a square shade I bought from ikea that I wired onto the ceiling fixture.

You could cut the lantern in half and glue it to the old light fixture cover.  I'm not sure if that would be a fire hazard though. GL

Hi - Pottery Barn has this clip on shade thing it's made of rattan - so its similar to what a paper latern is made of.  I am not sure if it will clip to a 2 light fixture, but I know it does easily clip to a single light bulb fixture.  The best part is it's only $29.99.  I came across it in my hunt for a light fixture!  Good luck!
