Ring Sling vs Hotsling

I bought a hotsling but it is the wrong size. ?I like it otherwise but I haven't tried a ring sling. ?Is there a reason to choose one over another?

The sizing .. because the hotsling is a pouch, you aren't going to be able to adjust the fit.  The ring sling fits just like a hotsling, but because it's adjustable, you can customize the fit to your body.

in addition to the fit, the ring sling gives you more hold options. for example, my son would never be worn in the standard cradle position, laying down. instead, i would wrap him tight in the tummy-to-tummy hold, so he was upright. you can't do that with a pouch. you also can't use the kangaroo carry, which my DS loved later on, in a pouch- that is where their legs are in and they face front.

I have both and hate the hotsling.  Get the ring sling.  It is adjustable and much more comfortable.

I could never figure out a pouch sling. I really like my ring sling and still use it when DD gets tired and just can't walk.

There's at least one other store in town (ok, on the edge of town, West Rd and Jackrabbit) that sellls ring slings (some of which are cheaper than Woman's Work)

I've bought stuff there before, the store is aimed more at cloth diapering and babywearing than BFing, but I've been tempted by the slings. If DD wasn't so old I'd buy another
