At both Target and Gap, the sizing charts have the exact same measurements (height and weight) for 18-24 month and 2T. So why 2 different sizes, anyone know?
Different styles or lines with in a brand. 24mo and 2T most of the time are the same size. But some brands like Gap have a baby line that goes to 24mo and then a toddler line.

I have 3 nieces who are all wearing those sizes. It is confusing. I asked a sales person at Macys and they said that the T s are longer than the 24 months.
For next year I bought 2T b/c DS is on the taller side. I think the main difference is height. I figure an extra inch is better then not esp since things tend to shrink a tad (esp carters sleepers).
