Hi,
I just read your response about cutting out caffeine. For what it's worth, I'm really glad I gave up caffeine before I got pregnant - in the past when I quit caffeine I would get pretty headachy and lethargic and it was no fun... and I wouldn't want to go through that in my first trimester when I'm feeling all those lovely pg symptoms as well.
Of course, some people don't give up caffeine at all when they're pg. But if you're planning on giving it up eventually, well... ![]()
Also, you could just give up the dew and have your occasional latte or iced tea for now. The diet dew is probably the worst anyway b/c of those sugar substitutes (I think you're supposed to stay away from those while pg.)
Anyway, don't know what made me feel compelled to respond... good luck!
?

Thanks for the response! A few weeks ago I was all ready to give up diet dew, but hadn't told DH. Next thing I know he's telling me that he bought like 5 packs because he found them on sale! So now I feel guilty about not drinking them.
But you've just inspired me to start the process of giving them up. I'll start with every other day and see how that goes...
Yeah.. you'd probably be better off switching to non diet dew once pregnant if you plan on continuing to drink caffeine.
fwiw I continued to drink caffeine through the TTC process, and I only completely gave up caffeine for the first trimester, then I drank some in the second tri, and I drink my regular amount (well no more than the recommended amnt) now.
