I live in the St. Michael area and in my second trimester. I'm hearing I shoud probably keep my eyes open for a pediatrician already. I go to the Allina clinics, main one in Maple Grove. Anyone out there have any recommendations?
WE got to Southlake Pediatrics and love them. We use the Plymouth office, but I know they have one in Maple Grove too. ALl the doctors and nurses we have seen have beenr eally good, and they have a 24 hour nurse line in case your kiddo gets sick outside of normal business hours.
We've been using South Lake Pediatrics for our son since he was born
two years ago. He had multiple health problems when he was a newborn.
Our pediatrician (Dr. Freehill at the Minnetonka office) always
listened to our concerns and never made us feel like overreacting new
parents. She referred us to specialists when his health issues were
out of her area of expertise. We also really like Dr. Paulson (Maple
Grove office).
They also have a walk in clinic, after hours
clinic, and Saturday clinic which we've used a couple times. You
usually don't see your regular pediatrician, but I haven't had one I
didn't like yet.
One of the best things is that you can schedule appts on-line.
I'd
suggest that you do a "prenatal appt" - you can interview the
pediatrician before the baby is born. There are seven locations, so
there are plenty of choices if you live in the west metro.
We go to Partners in Pediatrics in Maple Grove. They are right off 494 and Bass Lake Road. We have been very happy with the service there and appreciate the Ready Care system and after hour care on evenings and weekends.
Re: Pediatrician Recommendation for Maple Grove area?
We love Park Nicollet. Dr. Carlson is who we see.
