New to town--a couple of questions

I just moved to KC a couple of days ago (still in a hotel awaiting my stuff to arrive) and I realized I needed to find some doctors in town. I know that people ask these questions all the time and normally, I would look at past posts but my problem doing that here is that I do not know that area and how far the doctors listed in the old posts are to me. I am living in the Brookside area in MO. I am looking for an OB as well as a Pedi. Any recommendations would be great. Thank you very much.

Re: New to town--a couple of questions

  • Hi there and welcome to our town!  I live very close to Brookside, just south of you, in the Waldo neighborhood.  My OB is Dr. Amy Geidt at Women's Health Associates.  This is only about a 15 minute drive from my house (and probably would be 15 minutes for you too) and I LOVE her.  All the doctors (all women) are great at this practice.

For a pedi, we go to Village Pediatrics to Dr. Slaymaker, which is very close to Brookside (it's probably about a 10-minute drive from our house and very close to brookside).  We LOVE him.  The entire practice is wonderful.  I would highly recommend him.

  • I don't have a Pedi recommendation for ya since I'll be looking for one in Lee's Summit, but I love my OB.  It's Dr. Julie Moore at St. Luke's on the Plaza.  There is a group of drs there, but she is awesome!
