Mock Embryo Transfer

Can anyone tell me about Mock Embryo Transfer, how it works, how long it takes? Did you feel up to going to work after or did they make you stay home?

It's not a big deal at all.  Takes just a second - they stick a catheter in through your cervix and measure the depth of your uterus up to the top.  Feels like a pinch (unless they have a hard time with your cervix - then it's a bit worse but nothing a tylenol can't fix).  You should absolutely not need to stay home from work.

I agree.  You should be fine to go to work.  I just went through IVF recently and the only thing I did not go back to work for was the Retreival and Tranfer.  The mock transfer is nothing more painful than your yearly pap.

Ditto PP.  Totally not a big deal.  Depending on your doctor you may have to have a full bladder and that is totally the worst part of it.

It's just like an IUI or even a pap smear - easy as pie. In fact, at my first clinic they didn't bother doing it until the egg retrieval - they basically just put the catheter through the cervix and watch on ultrasound to get a sense of your uterus' shape and depth.
