Infertility

Guaifenesin (mucinex, robitussin) when to start?

Has anybody taken this.  My fertility clinic suggested it.  But they are closed today and I can't ask.

How many to take daily?

When to start? Before or after af or throughout cycle?

  • I assume you are taking clomid or femera for this cycle. You can take it starting cd10 (or day after last clomid pill) and take it once a day thru 3dpo. Make sure you are taking plain mucinex (no letters after it).

  • For me it  would work pretty much day of using it, so I would start about 5 days before expected ovulation and continue until confirmed O. So just about the time you are going to have sex.

Follow the dosing on the package as to how much to take (I forget what it is)
