Is it a complicated assembly? Like will take them a bit of time? Then maybe $20. If they're just delivering it and unwrapping/setting it up then $5-10. I think....I'm not sure.
our furniture is coming this week. we were planning on 40 a person as they have to carry it up two flights of stairs and then have to assemble three pieces of furniture. and how can I forget the lovely weather we are having here in chicago.
I always tip movers because furniture is heavy and it's darn hard work!!!! We gave $20 total, so $10 to each guy. I don't ever keep in mind how much we paid for delivery, because not very much of that is going to the actual movers.

That's actually not true. Most furniture places use contractors for delivery and setup. Most of the fee they charge go to paying the contractors. I only know this because my brother worked for a company who delivered and assembled beds and mattresses.
Also the same concept when you buy appliances from places like Lowes.
Re: Furniture delivery question (tipping)
They are assembling crib and dresser?
?
I've never heard of someone tipping for that, I'm pretty sure you always pay a cost, whether you know it or not for them to deliver & set them up.
Michelle?
