Sam has been miserable all night, I gave him some apple juice thinking that would help move things along. I remember the pedi saying something about juice but hope it wasnt just prune...any luck with apple juice???
I haven't tried with DD#2 but with #1 if I give her full strength juice, not diluted, it works. GL! Also, with #2 I've mixed baby food prunes with pears or peaches and that does the trick too. (she hates just plain prunes)
It makes my DD constipated. Remember, apples are part of the BRAT diet so are going to be more binding than helping to unconstipate.

It has always worked for me. I used to do 1 to 2 ratio - 1 ounce of juice with 2 ounces of water when DD was younger. Now of course she can have a stronger concentrate of it. It usually works within the same day
Re: Pls tell me apple juice works for constipation?
YES! DS had horrible constipation Saturday night. We gave him apple juice around midnight and he had a big poo Sunday before lunch.
It worked great!

Apples juice isn't constipating but applesauce is. I gave a couple oz mixed with equal water.
Yep. The BRAT diet is banana, rice, applesauce and toast. My pedi recommended pear or apple juice for constipation.
