the other night i told dh i was gonna take a bath to relax and he asked "but dont baths bring on labor?" i was like uhh that's news to me. anyone know if thats true? also, i've been seeing things about eating pineapple and it bringing on labor...what's with that? are these just OWT or is there truth behind it? TIA
Re: question about bringing on labor...
No.. that sounds like something that your DH made up, or is confused about.. When I was having really bad BH, I read to take a bath because it should help calm down the ctx..
In reality.. i don't think any of that stuff really brings on labor.

According to my doctor, the only things that bring on labor are sex (sperm softens the cervix), bouncing on a birthing ball (helps the baby drop), and walking (helps the baby drop). But just because you walk or have sex doesn't put you at a higher risk of preterm labor.
