NW burb OB/midwife?

My husband is currently stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois, and we're planning to move myself and our daughter to the Mundelein area in the next month.  Does anyone have any recommendations for midwives/OBs and/or any experiences with the L&D floors in surrounding hospitals?  The only the advice or suggestions we've really gotten is to stay far away from Condell. I used to live in Libertyville and went to Dr. Jill Holden out of OB/GYN Assoc of Lake Forest...you would deliver at Lake Forest Hospital which I have had friends deliver at and they love it there...as for the Doctors in the practice, I loved Jill so much and the other ones are good too...I hated that we moved so I had to stop going to her. For a while I was traveling 1 hour plus just to keep her there, but when I got pregnant I had to switch to someone closer because of the frequency of the appointments...She has an office in Gurnee and in Lake Forest, and she works at both places throughout the week...the # to her and the practice is 847-234-3250

Thanks so much for the recommendation!  I will definitely give her office a call and try to set up an appointment to meet with her the next time we're in the area to visit my husband.  I feel the same way about my current OB as you feel about her...I'm tempted to drive back to Indy to keep seeing her, but I know that's just not possible when delivery time comes.  Thanks again!

I loved my OB in Crystal Lake, not sure if that's too far for you.  He's with Centegra, also has an office in McHenry.  I loved NIMC where I delivered as well.  Leonard Hering is his name.
