We're flying to California on Thursday. ?We've flown before but not long-distance and I'm wondering how you deal with poopy diapers. ?Where do you change them? ?
i dont know if every airline has them now, but the bathrooms on our southwest flight had a changing table that folded down from the wall over the toilet . it was awesome!
In the plane bathroom there should be a changing table above the toilet. it's not the easiest place to change a baby but it's doable. Throw the diapers in the trash below the bathroom sink.

Yeah, be prepared. ?DS poops his pants every single time we fly. ?I think there's something about the change in pressure!
Most planes we've been on have a changing table in the bathroom (American and Continental). ?Airplane bathrooms disgust me, but in a pinch, you do what you gotta do. ?I took DS in there and laid paper towels all over it, then laid his changing mat on that. ?It was a little unnerving with the movement of the plane (it was a bit bumpy) but we survived. ?:) ??

The plane should have a table in the bathroom. Having had to change one myself when we flew, BRING A PLASTIC BAG! Planes have the tiniest whole to stick your trash in and I had the worst time ever trying to keep my hand on DD while turning around to throw poopy stuff away in the ridiculously small whole. Yea, I totally got poop everywhere. It was awful!

Our first long flight (to Argentina), we changed her on a at on the floor at our seats (we had a bulkhead row in 1st class so it was just us in the seats with plenty of space). ?But, she was still BFing at the time (8 weeks) so her poop hadn't turned smell-wise so it was non-offensive and noone around us noticed.
Our 2nd long flight (to Spain), we used the changing table in the restroom (most have it I believe). ?I hated it (space-wise and I really hate airplane toilets find them disgustingly dirty) but she was on solids at that point and I just couldn't do that to the people around us b/c her poop was obviously going to be smellier. ?I completely disinfected with wipes and, of course, used a pad to change her.
on our flight only one of the bathrooms had a changing table. I would ask the flight attendant if the bathrooms have them before you attempt to get the baby in there.

I know everyone has been saying to expect a changing table, but when we flew to Mexico last month, there was no changing station. I had to change a blowout- which included outfit change, on her changing pad on the toilet. It was gross, but I had no options. We didn't even have an extra seat. Be prepared to face any situation, and bring hand sanitizer!
