Vent

DD's Hannah Montana party was today. ?It went really well but I'm worried that I might never stop singing "the best of both worlds..."! ?

We had one guest show up who hadn't rsvped and another guest's mother was an hour and a half late picking her up. ?But it is now over and I don't have to have another party until August. ?

  • Time to pour yourself another glass of wine- you deserve it! Birthday parties are stressful even when they go well...
  • yep its time for some wine....thats one of my biggest pet peeves about parties...parents who are ridiculously late picking up their child....and extra kid showing up dont bother me mainly because I always plan for extras

  • I would be pissed off about the hour and a half late chick....

    What was her excuse?

  • Did the mom who was late at least call? That sucks.  I think we live in the same area...did the bad weather and all the snow have anything to do with her being late?  I had a baby shower to go to today and I was late too.  Not 1.5 hours though.  It's nasty out there.  At least the rest of the party went well!

  • The mom didn't say anything except a quick "sorry I'm late." ?And I didn't want to ask since I'd spent the last hour and a half assuring her child that mommy wasn't really late. ?:)

Gah, I still have HM songs in my head!?

  • An HOUR and a HALF late? That's crazy.

I'm glad you're done until August. That's a good thing!

  • Ugh...I dread whatever the next generation of Hannah Montana will be, by the time DD is a pre-teen.  Kudos to you for pulling off the party!
  • I have to laugh at the mom who was 1.5 hrs late.  My mom once left my sister at a birthday party.  Completely forgot about her until the mom called and asked when my mom was going to come get her.  Glad everything went well.

well, that's just rude.  I'd have made sure to call!  Sounds like you were her babysitter :)
