her toes look like they have soft blisters on them.  lots of them - skin is just peeling off.  i thought maybe athlete's foot, but im not sure what that looks like and she doesnt seem irritated by it.  thoughts?  i might call the ped on call - but is that dumb to call about peeling feet? def not an emergency!

Re: toddler feet peeling???

  • Do her feet get moist (she sweats or her shoes/socks get wet)? ?I don't think it's much to worry about. ?Try to keep her feet dry (let her run around barefoot if you can). ?

BTW- can it be that your babies are getting SO big? ?It seems like Morgan was just born yesterday :(?

  • That happened to DD one time. Lots of tiny little blisters (not painful or red at all). Once they peeled, it never happened again. I have no idea what caused it!

  • DD had juvenile plantar dermatosis.  You may want to google pictures of it to see if it looks similar.  If it is that - it's not a big deal at all.  Just lots of moisturizing.  The skin on her feet just suddenly peeled off one day.  And at first it looked like blisters on her toes.  After that, her feet were REALLY dry!  We saw a dermatologist and they had us moisturize every night and after every bath.  About a year later it went away!
