I ended up having my big u/s during a f/u to my lost twin at 16w0d. They didn't get a good look at a couple heart details so I go back next Wednesday at 20w1d. Anyway, do you think they will do everything over again or will they just look at the heart for what they are missing. Anyone have a similar situation? What ended up happening?
TIA
Re: NE1 have their big u/s very early and have to go back?
Mine was at 18w5d and I had to go back later, at 21w5d, to try to get better images of the heart. The stubborn baby was facing my spine both times, which apparently isn't the best for seeing the heart.
I think he did redo most of the measurements really quickly. He updated me on the baby's weight (he'd almost doubled in three weeks!) and measured a few bones, but by far he spent the most time trying to get the heart.
I had my first at 17w4d and baby was very uncooperative. So we did it again at 20 and although all she needed was heart, she checked everything again.
Can't wait to see u/s pics!
