A recipe I am thinking of making calls for 8 oz. of Velveeta cheese. I SO don't like Velveeta (taste and texture get to me). Is there a substitute for it that could work? It's in a chicken casserole, mixed in to the "sauce" part.
Maybe cambell's cheese soup or 1/2 cheese soup 1/2 regular shredded cheese. regular cheese just doesn't melt like velveta, so it might make it soupy if you used regular cheese.
