We are going on the 3 night disney wonder cruise at the end of Feb, with my 3 1/2 yo DS. Just wondering if anyone here has been on this cruise and what their experience was. Thanks!
did you use the kids club? we are only going for 4 days so DS wont be there much,Probably only if we make reservations at the adult restaurant.
also, did you go to Nassau? I've heard mixed reviews about it and i'm debating on just walking around a little bit and getting back on the ship to enjoy what they offer, rather then excursions.
Our trip was Western Carribbean, so no Nassua, but I have been there. It's my least favorite of all the islands I have ever been to. It's kind of dirty and if you take a wrong turn looks downright scary to be honest. If you do an excursion I would do the trip to Atlantis. It's beautiful, and worth seeing.
DD did use the kids club. We dropped her off for about 45 minutes to see if she liked it, not to get rid of her! She loved it and asked to go back every day. We let her go 2 nights while we were at dinner. The older kids loved her, and would help her dress up in all the different princess costumes (they have a closet full of costumes for boys and girls) and she was in her glory.
Have you been to Disney World? We found the character interaction on the ship so much better. They all spent time with her and by the third day knew her by name.
I do agree with Auntie on the food...it was good, certainly not great. I have never been on a cruise on any line where I found the food spectacular. I don't know how it could be when you are cooking for 2,500 people. I think people that rave about the food are normally huge eaters who take advantage of the eat all day theory.
Yes, we have been to Disney World- every year for the last 3 years. I needed a break so we chose the cruise. I'm glad to hear the character interaction is better, I hated wasting time in line in Disney world.
I think we'll do the same thing with the club. Drop him off for a little bit to see if he likes it before making plans to leave him there for dinner. I'm on the fence about Palo anyway, I dont really want to spend another $30 to go there, when there is free food all over the ship!
Re: Disney Cruise?
No, but I am super jealous :-)
I've heard nothing but good things about the cruises. ?A friend of mine went with her husband (no kids) and that LOVED it. ?I
Have fun, and come back and post about how it was!?
