We are moving at the end of this summer. DH currently has applications out for PhD programs. We don't know where we will move yet, but it will be far away

It is exciting. I am trying to be positive about it, but deep down I am really sad about leaving our families. We are all really close and it crushes me that they won't be a part of Natalie's everyday life anymore. But I know this will be fun for us, to be somewhere else for a while. But check back with me in July or August...I'm sure I'll be a complete mess, LOL.

Almost definitely not, but we'd love to be close. He has already gotten accepted to a school in-state, but is almost definitely not going there. His job prospects will be much better if he goes to one of the more prestigious schools he's applied to...we'd have a better chance of being closer to home. So a short-term period of being away from family will hopefully mean being close(r) in the long-term.
