Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Funny-but-not story re: plane crash.

Recently DH and I were flying with DD on my lap.  We were in the last row of the plane, and across the aisle was a woman with two small kids, and in front of her was a woman with her son.  The only kids on the plane, all crammed in the back - lol.

During the safety speech, they made a special announcement (never heard this before during safety speech) that the plane had infant flotation devices......located in the front of the plane.

DH and I looked at each other and cracked up.  He said "so if this plane goes down in water, I have to climb over all those people to get to the front?  I could probably claw my way over about 15 of them, but then....."  LOL.  It was so bizarre.

  • that's odd.. considering they usually do put families w/ babies in the very back, or at least that's where we end up ;) And I had no idea they had infant flotation devices! I was just watching the news thinking OMG, how terrifying that must be! And I can't imagine being ok and then having DD and freaking about how to handle her possibly in the water. So so scary!
