Houston Babies

just when I find a sippy she knows how to use...

...they don't sell them anymore! I need to stock up since she'll be starting milk soon. I've had 2 since she only drinks water out of them, but I think I left one at Teala's last week, so we're down to one. I can't find them anywhere anymore! I guess I'll look online...grr.

  • Loading the player...
  • Nuby Grip N Sip straw sippies. I just found them online for 4.73 each, but it sucks to pay shipping. Target just had oodles of them last week! I should have bought them then :(

  • maddy uses those as well...

have you tried a different target?  i have also seen them at BRU & right start. (fyi - right start also sells replacement valves/straws for them)

Yeah, I checked 3 Targets, Walmart and BRU. It's like they just vanished off the face of the planet.

wow, that's crazy!  maybe try giving right start a call?  in rice village, they are to the right of the register, on the wall.  they don't carry too many sippies, so they should be able to find them fairly easily.  good luck!

ETA: we also use the playtex straw cup (the one that twists to open the straw vs. flipping) and maddy took to it easily.  i actually think it's easier to suck from those than the nuby, with their "variflow".  and one more thing... nuby makes that same cup, in a taller version, but w/o handles.  i always thought they would be too cumbersome for maddy, as she is a peanut, but she would be just fine with it whenever she stole it from my bff's baby!

  • Yikes - That's what we use!

  • These are the ones that my DD uses too. I bought several thinking we would have extras/backups and realized the new ones I bought are made differently! They are harder to suck on and she has trouble-I tried using it too. They are hard to find-especially the "old" model. :(

i think the "old" model you are referring to are the ones that do not say "variflow" - although it was a couple months ago, i know i have seen those at the walmart on westheimer & dunvale, though it is the bigger size.

the "variflow" ones are *very* hard to suck - you have to bite and suxk at the same time!

  • I would guess that they're getting hard to find because (I'm pretty sure) they have BPA in them.
