anal strep - anyone else's kids every have this???

My 2 1/2 year old might have anal strep.  She had a strep test done this morning so we will know for sure in a few days but she has been started on an prescription cream for now and will get oral meds if she tests positive.  Just wondering if anyone else's kids have had this and what you know about it.  How do you catch it?  I know its a virus but how contagious is it?  Anything you can share would be great.  Thanks

Why did they test for this?  What were the symptoms?  Is it like Streb B that they test for when your pregnant?

no, but a very close friend'd dd had it.it is very treatable.

My DD has a rash, almost looks like blisters near her anus opening.  She has had it for over a week, they had us try an antifungal cream for 3-4 days 1st and then told us to come in if that didn't help.  They do a strep culture test to test for it.
