My aching kidneys

I must have crashed really hard last night. I didn't hear my cell phone or the house phone ring. I was sleeping so hard I didn't even wake up to go to the bathroom. WHen my alarm clock woke me up this morning my back and kidneys were ACHING I had to pee so badly. They are still pretty sore now. I am seriously thinking about leaving work to go home and curl up on the couch.

Re: My aching kidneys

  • It could be a bladder infection. Several of my friends in college would complain of serious pain in their kidneys /lower back. You might want to look into it.

  • Ditto. ?I've never heard of kidney pain from holding in urine. ?The only time I've had kidney pain is when I had kidney stones. ?You might consider calling your doctor to see what they think.
  • I would get your urine checked for a UTI or possibly a kidney infection!  I just got over one, which I had no symptoms other than my kidney was killing me.  I have had a few UTIs and kidney infections, and always had a lot of other symptoms... frequency, burning, feeling like you have to go right after going.... with this last one I had nothing other than the back pain.

It can be serious if not treated, so I would definitely get it checked out!

It's really common for UTIs during pregnancy.

    Good luck!
