DD also hated tummy time, but was crawling by 7 months (which I think is considered on the early side, not really sure). Just have her on her tummy when you can, but don't sweat over it. Lots of babies actually go straight from immobility to walking, without crawling in between, which is just fine too.
She is a cutie!

Some babies never crawl! That's why they don't put it as a milestone on the "your baby should be doing this" lists.
Is she sitting up unsupported yet? (Forgive me, I can't remember what age they start that anymore!) Once that happens, I would think the tummy thing wouldn't be such a hinderance.

she is doing the "tripod" thing, but is lasting a little longer each day. she was unsupported about 5 minutes the other day before she got tired and fell over.
Eloise didn't crawl until 11mo, but when she did she did not go to crawling from laying on her tummy, she did it from sitting and reaching for something and ending on her hands and knees that way.
she will do what comes naturally to her. you really shouldn't be concerned. truitt was a "late" crawler who also hated tummy time. however, he walked at 11 mos and has superior fine motor skills (according to his pedi). his language is advanced for his age and he is healthy and happy. so, again, she'll get where she needs to get. put her on her tummy when you can but don;t stress. her rolling is a good thing.
I agree to let her do her thing and not to stress about it (easier said than done!). ?She's having fun perfecting that rolling now. ?DS crawled just before 9 months, which is still very normal.?
I am going thru the same thing with DS. He hates tummy time and turns himself over on his back. I was worried that he would never crawl, but have heard a lot of kids are skipping the crawling phase and going straight to walking.
Re: how do i get her to learn to crawl if she rolls over every time i put her on her tummy?
