I have the 7500. I love it but A dropped it and messed it up. I looked into the S1000 but it was missing some of the features I like on my 7500 so I'm thinking about getting the 2000 (I think it's out or comes out soon).

I had the s700 & it broke after 1 year. It was something with the battery. It was out of warranty & it would been to expensive to fix it. It took good pics for the year I had it. Maybe I just had a lemon, becuase it has a lot of good reviews. This past christmas I broke down & got the Cannon Rebel hoping it last more than a year.
