Has anyone taken progesterone??

I just heard from my Dr who said that my HCG levels look great and that she is putting my on progesterone suppositories....just wondering if anyone has any experience with this....side effects, success....etc.  Thanx!

Im taking crinone and Im exhausted from it,the same exhaustion you get from early pregnancy i guess.

I was taking  progesterone supp. during IVF and my experience was horrible. I asked a few other people and they did not experience any side effects. I experienced itching and burning the whole entire time. I discussed this with my IVF nurse but they told my to continue to ensure my pregnancy. I did find a few articles where other women experienced the same side effects they were far and few in between....hopefully you will not have the same problems. If you have any problems do not hesitate to mention it to your doctor because there was an alternative to that particular progesterone that I found in the article but I do not remember the name of the product. The experience was like a yeast infection times 3!!!!!    Good Luck

Pregnancy-like symptoms--sore breasts, fatigue, slight dizziness, occasional queaziness.

If you got the refrigerated kind, they're goopy, so stock up on panty liners.

See if your dr. is going to run another P4 test after you start supps. They can use that # to see if it's working.

I was on them with my pregnancy for the first 10-11 weeks. Other than messy, no side effects.

The only s/e I noticed was my bbt was up. I was warm all the time.
