If your child has ear tubes...

Were you told to come back for check-ups every year?  My daughter got them 2 years ago.  We went back last year for a check up last year and I remember the doctor saying 'see you again next year'.  Is it really necessary to keep going back - especially if we're having no issues?

DS had a check up a few weeks after but that was it.  Of course DH took him to that check up so he may have conveniently left that out of the report back.  Now you have me wondering.  I guess I will have to call them to find out.

Yes.  Our ENT wanted to make sure that the tubes fell out and there were no other issues.  Unfortunately for us, 2 of our 3 that have/had tubes still had problems afterwards.  We are frequest flyers at our ENT office.
