yesterday i got teased by another nestie for being productive while Tru was at MDO. (you know who you are.
) it kinda made me feel good b/c i have childcare 3 days a week, soon to be 4, and i never feel like i've gotten as much done as i should.
so, what do you use your free time for? to relax? to do chores? go out or stay home?

Re: What do you while DC is A MDO?
I usually go to the gym, run an errand, and then head home to work on some chores (squeezing in lunch in there somewhere). ?Some days the chores don't get done due to a hair appointment thrown in there or because I decide to spend way too much time at Target.
?DS goes one day a week (will go 2 next year), so I have to squeeze a lot in. ?I always feel guilty when I don't get enough done (which is usually the case).
ETA - I do remind myself though that even if I fritter the whole time away, that it makes me a better mommy to get the break. ?So the guilt never lasts long
?
All sorts of stuff....usually misc. errands like post office/dentist apptmt., etc. Oftentimes appointments with clients. And I try to schedule lunches with friends during this time...I also will occassionally squeeze in a massage or pedicure.
I make darn good use of my time.
I didn't start MDO until #2 was here, so its never been true alone time. Julia and I usually make a trip to the grocery store and then head home. She tends to take L O N G morning naps on days Elena is in MDO strangely. Yesterday, she slept for 3 hours! Up until I had to put her in the car to pick-up Elena!
So I feel guilty taking her to do more errands, even though it'd be easier with just the one, and instead I do stuff around the house. I like to try and sew then if I don't get sucked into the Internet too much.

I actually had to make a schedule for myself, because I tend to be very unstructured and then I don't feel like I've accomplished anything.
Mondays are generally house cleaning days.
Wednesdays and Fridays are interchangable. One day is strictly a "me" day, whether that be meeting friends for lunch, getting my hair done, or lounging around catching up on DVR shows. The other is errand day, or doing a special project at home (house stuff, lawn stuff, craft project, etc.).
this is what i need to do. knowing that i have one day to be mindless and just hang out/have me time will help motivate me to get things done on the other days. great idea!
