I just found out that my work now has an Adoption Assistance Program...It's only 1,500 but hey that is better than the zero it was last year!!!

That's great news!  I may seem like a small amount in terms of the cost of adoption, but just think how much that $1,500 would mean if you just found it on the street!  Since you'll be getting the money after the adoption is completed, it will be extra funds with which you can buy stuff for baby!
