Since I'm expecting twins, I was thinking about joining EMOMS but I don't know much about it, other than what is says on their website. Has anyone else with multiples joined? Is it valuable to join before the babies are born?
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks - S
Re: Anyone Belong to EMOMS?
I am -- I think Jody and Beth might be as well?
It's great for the twice annual sales (members get in first). They also have a lot of get togethers which I would love to go to, but haven't yet. Hmmm -- there is a good chat area. Oh, and they do things like help out other MoM's with food and stuff when needed.
I think it's probably worth it.
ooh Ooh! Me~! But I missed the first year group last night (expecting and babies under a year) because Audrey and Gabe have a tummy bug ... sales are great... support is great... but you have to put into it what you want and then will get back. It was nice to commiserate with other twin moms... NONE of my friends had twins... I also took the UW expecting multiples class and I am still in touch with those gals...
And, my babies were born 6 months ago (well.. will be 6 months on the 20th..) close enough... This is a great board for support as well as is the multiples board...
congratulations!
Beth
I am also a member of eMoms. I did go to the sale back in October, which was totally worth it...you get to skip the long line if you are a member! I really haven't participated in anything yet, but I would love to. There seems to be a lot of stuff going on, I just haven't done anything while being pregnant....it seems like a great way to meet people and since I am fairly new to the area, I hope to take advantage of that...at some point!?
They do have, I think Robyn mentioned, help for new families, like with preemie clothes and I think you can get meals delivered to you....
I think the next sale is in April (?) and I think the membership fee was completely worth it just to get in early to that sale!?
