Pack N Play Features

How important do you think it is to have the vibration feature on a pack n play? We really like the Graco Kira Collection Pack N Play, but it does not have the vibration feature, only the music. I just would rather have something and not need it that need something and not have it. Just wanted all of you opinions.

Re: Pack N Play Features

  • Important for me. DD needed to be rocked/swung to sleep. Having her PNP vibrate started her falling asleep on her own and STTN. I am imagining DS will be the same way sine he is most active when I'm still and still when I am active.

They have vibrating devices that you can buy..they play music, so on and so forth that you can attach to any crib, PNP, bassinet, etc.

  • Loading the player...
  • Not important.  I used the feature a handful of times.  Plus, I did not want dd to get into the habit of being "vibrated" to sleep-since her crib did not vibrate!!
  • It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. The only thing I absolutely need is the change table/bassinet option. . .then again, once the baby comes I could have a different opinion completely. Still, I don't think we're getting a vibrating one.

  • Well, I'll tell you... Back in the day.... when I had my frist - and bouncy seats didn't exist - I used to put a damp towel in the dryer, but his car seat on the dryer, set the timer and sit on the laundry room with him. I WILL have one that vibrates...

    * Make sure you turn off dryer/open it before the buzzer goes off - just sayin'*

  • I also want a bouncy seat that vibrates. It should be a godsend.
  • I posted a similar question on 0-6 mos. a few days ago, and most of the new moms said the vibration was a good thing. But I also agree with pp that we don't want our little one to expect vibration all the time.
