sausage ball recipe?

Before Christmas there was some discussion of how amazingly delicious sausage balls are.  I think LindsayS was making them, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have a recipe?  I want to make some for a brunch this weekend.

Thanks!!

Re: sausage ball recipe?

  • So yummy! This recipe makes 15 servings. I use spicy sausage for a little more flavor. Sometimes, they take a little longer than the suggested cooking time. If you have a countertop mixer, using the kneading hook makes mixing the stuff up a lot easier.

    • 1 pound ground pork sausage
    • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
    • 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. In a large bowl, combine sausage, biscuit baking mix and cheese. Form into walnut size balls and place on baking sheets.
    3. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, until golden brown.

  • Excellent.  Thanks for the info!  I will probably make them small, so they will cook a bit faster.

We are making all mini-sized foods - silver dollar pancakes, waffles cut in quarters, sausage balls, mini bagels, mini muffins, and hoping someone asks "What's up with all the baby-sized food?"

PS Yes, we are huge dorks, but I have been having fun finding ways to tell people I am pg.
